ARTISTIC
PHILOSOPHY
Art functions as an archive.
This archive helps us understand
who we are, where we are,
and the stories that exist within that.
APPLYING
PHILOSOPHY/
MISSION
I create to contribute to this archive to help us understand who we are in our current time.
I am passionate about creating stories
that reflect our complex social conditions,
and imagine what art could be in the 21st century.
This can be best achieved by investigating the complexities in how we exist today,
moments in history that has shaped our current world,
traditions that are due to be broken,
and aesthetics we can write the preface for.
VALUE
STATEMENT
Art is a form of human expression.
Art as human expression is disrespected when we leave people out of artistic processes,
the stories we tell,
and stories we engage with.
Exclusivity, in the many ways it presents itself,
does a disservice to artistic processes and presentation.
It is troubling to witness exclusivity
when our contemporary world allows us to connect with people
who hold different identities, backgrounds, and experiences.
I believe one of the most beautiful things about humanity
is our variation and that we exist in different ways.
I enjoy artistic processes that allow me to connect with,
and learn from people with different backgrounds.
Therefore, I vow that how I create, study, and what I collaborate on
embrace practices of social justice, accessibility, equity, inclusivity, and diversity.
I believe these practices allows for our art
to be truthful, expansive, more inviting,
and honors how art is a form of human expression.
I work with people on the basis of talent, vision,
and dedication to the art being created.

ECLECTIciSM
My creativity knows no bounds.
In its nature, it wants to expand like the universe.
As my knowledge of the world we live in progresses,
how I create progresses.
There is always room to learn, expand,
and improve my approach to creating.
My creativity is boundless.
I cannot confine myself to one genre,
one medium to create in, one personal quality.
It is expansive in nature because it takes on
a myriad of influences, ideas, and experiences.
